Super Meat Boy Saves Bandage Girl on Wii U Soon

Super Meat Boy Saves Bandage Girl on Wii U Soon

Super Meat Boy is finally debuting on a Nintendo platform. It took a while, but the Wii U will see Meat Boy, Bandage Girl, and Dr. Fetus this month. It’ll arrive on the eShop on May 12, with Blit Works having handled the port.

This marks the end of quite a troubled journey. Back in 2009, Team Meat had a WiiWare version of Super Meat Boy planned. Porting issues kept it from happening in 2010. A physical release was discussed for the Wii too, but it couldn’t get a publisher. Six years later, the Wii U’s getting the game.

Hey! Super Meat Boy actually made it to the Wii U before Super Meat Boy Forever , the sequel, came out! That’s pretty great news. Now, let’s hope for some sort of exclusive content!
