Carmageddon: Max Damage Gets Minimal Delay

Carmageddon: Max Damage Gets Minimal Delay

Carmageddon , like Trackmania , is one of those niche series that is so deeply loved by its fans you’d swear it was a long-running AAA franchise with multiple games-of-the-year under its belt. In reality, these games are deeply loved because they pick one thing to do really well. In Carmageddon ‘s case, that one thing is vehicular carnage. The majority of your time will be spent running over, running into, skewering, and blowing up people, animals, and other cars. Sound primitive and uncivilized? It totally is, and Carmageddon: Max Damage is set to raise the chaotic bar higher than ever when it releases on July 8 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Originally the game was due out in June, but developer Stainless has decided to hold it back just a few more weeks to allow “the development team extra time to give the game a final polish before delivery and ensure it’s the best it can be for a new audience of console gamers.” Traditionally Carmageddon games have been available exclusively on PC, and Max Damage will eventually end up there as well. In fact, if you bought Carmageddon Reincarnation , you’ll get a free copy of Max Damage when it does make its way to PC.

Stainless also announced a few pre-order bonuses for Max Damage , which include two extra cars, four exclusive skins, and a digital comic called “Where Eagles Die” that you’ll be able to download and enjoy (if you’re into that). For anyone unfamiliar with the series, make sure your lunch is settled and check out the trailer below:
