Persona 5 Gets Japanese Release Date and Details

Persona 5 Gets Japanese Release Date and Details

I woke up bright and early this morning to watch the special Persona 5 live stream out of Tokyo. Partly for you guys, but mainly because I’m a huge fanboy. Everything was in Japanese and there were no subtitles, but we did get a lot of solid information and a brand new trailer which I’ll link below. Here’s everything I learned in my two hours of watching:

  • Persona 5 is coming out in Japan on September 15 for 8,800 yen (I assume it will be $59.99 here).
  • The game is coming to PS4 and PS3.
  • There was a special edition revealed that includes all 5 Persona games on disc, a soundtrack, an art book, and some other unknown extras for 13,800 yen.
  • There will be a special 20th anniversary set with Persona series DLC from past games.
  • A Persona 5 anime will air in September as well.
  • An orchestral concert will take place in August, may or may not be streamed.

That’s all we know for now, but Persona 5 will definitely be making an appearance at E3, so here’s hoping that a NA release date isn’t far off.
