As soon as DOA Xtreme 3 came out, there was a bit of an importing frenzy as everyone stormed play-Asia and Amazon Japan to get a hold on the game which was, apparently, too controversial for a Western release. It’s basically a creep simulator, and really the only reason to play the game is to progressively unlock skimpier and skimpier swimsuits for your favorite Dead or Alive ladies. The only fighting you’ll partake in will be on forums arguing over who makes for the best waifu.
If that appeals to you and you’re looking for the best way to try the game for yourself, you might be interested to know that Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 will have a free-to-play offering starting May 16. You’ll only be able to play as Kasumi, and you can’t play in casino mode, but you’ll have more than enough to keep you occupied and decide whether or not you want to spend money on the full game.
