Hitman GO: VR Edition Available Now

Hitman GO: VR Edition Available Now

Hitman GO is a game that continues to challenge expectations. Whoever thought that the Hitman experience could be distilled and recreated as a board game? Actually it’s not really a board game; Square Enix describes it as a “turn-based puzzle / strategy game.” I know, I was skeptical too, but Hitman GO has become one of the most decorated and widely loved mobile games published by Square Enix to date, inspiring multiple DLC packs and even a Tomb Raider variant in Lara Croft GO . Now you can play this deceptively simple, breakout hit in virtual reality.

Hitman GO: VR Edition is finally here and playable on your Samsung Gear VR or Oculus Rift. The game will cost $8 and $10 respectively, and Square Enix justifies the latter price by pointing out that the Oculus version is the definitive version, touting 90 fps and seamless head tracking (for those of you who plan to look down really hard at the diorama sets from all angles). “The VR Edition has been reimagined with space, comfort and accessibility in mind. Head-tracking movement, simple, intuitive controls and an abstract yet immersive VR environment allow for a completely new experience.” Both versions also include all of the content updates and sport a staggering 91 levels, so don’t worry, you won’t see any in-app purchases here.
