This Could Be the End for The Witcher

This Could Be the End for The Witcher

I hope you’ve enjoyed your time with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt , and I hope you’re planning to get the most out of the upcoming expansion Blood & Wine , because that’s it, man; game over. Seriously, CD Projekt RED doesn’t have any more plans for Geralt and The Witcher universe after it releases Blood & Wine, according to CDPR co-founder Marcin Iwinski. “As we said before, never say never [but] right now it’s really Blood and Wine. This the end. Blood and Wine is [the] closing and there won’t be any Witcher any time soon, if there ever will be one.”

That makes us pretty sad, but there’s still plenty to look forward to. Blood & Wine promises about 30 hours of extra content, and by the time you’ve exhausted all the new quests and points of interests, you’ll likely have a little more information about Cyberpunk 2077 . Cyberpunk is going to be huge, and CDPR has gone on record stating it wants to make it bigger and better than The Witcher 3 in every way. So that’s that. I expect by this time next year we’ll have a special The Witcher collection to look forward to, with definitive versions of all three games in a fancy, physical release. Fingers crossed!
