Titanfall 2 Leak Hints at Grappling Hooks, Bigger Maps

Titanfall 2 is coming out sometime this year, which means we deserve to know everything about it right now. Seriously, 2016 has been a standout year for video game leaks and they just keep coming. This time around the information is coming from an anonymous Reddit user, but we’re taking him seriously because he posted some artwork that matches a picture teased, only partially visible, on the official Titanfall site. The benevolent, mischievous anon gave us that exciting new image as well as some new details about he game itself.

According to him, the maps in Titanfall 2 are going to be much larger than they were in the first game. Whether or not that means more people will be able to play together in-game is unknown. He also stated that grappling hooks will play a big role in gameplay, used for “getting into your Titan, aiding free-running, or tactical plays such as pulling enemies while they’re midair.” While the rope / grappling hook mechanic is getting a bit worn out, it does sound like an excellent addition here. The poster also said that the game was slated to release this October, which would mean that it’ll be competing with Battlefield 1 . That last bit doesn’t make too much sense to me, but hopefully we’ll get an official confirmation or denial at E3 next month.
