No Man’s Sky May Be Delayed

No Man’s Sky May Be Delayed

Were you hoping to play No Man’s Sky on June 21? That was the supposed release date, so that would be a reasonable expectation. Except it might not be. Kotaku has received news from two sources saying that the game has been delayed, one of which is a GameStop employee. There are even pictures!

The first source was unnamed, but the GameStop employee shared materials that said, “The release date for No Man’s Sky has changed since the provided posters were printed. Please use a coming soon pop-on to cover up the date and communicate as needed to your guest about the change of release.” There’s also a picture showing the sticker over the former release date.

While there has been no official confirmation as to whether or not the PlayStation 4 and PC game will appear when it was supposed to, a delay wouldn’t be surprising. This is a rather ambitious project. If the rumors are accurate, then we won’t be exploring space until sometime in July or August. Given the approach of E3, we’ll certainly get an update soon.
