Dragon Quest Builders Headed West This October

Dragon Quest Builders Headed West This October

Square Enix is preparing to celebrate 30 years of Dragon Quest , and that means some exciting announcements are on the way. Today I received the first of those exciting announcements in a press release, and I’m happy to report that Dragon Quest Builders is finally coming West this October for the PS4 and PlayStation Vita. This is an adorable spin-off title set in the Dragon Quest universe; think Minecraft meets Dragon Quest. “In this all-new building adventure, players will use their creativity to gather and combine a variety of unique tools and materials in order to rebuild Alefgard, a realm destroyed by the menacing ruler of the monsters, the Dragonlord.”

Of course, you’ll have to defend your town and your creations from monsters. This is a Dragon Quest game, after all. Expect to collect various quests from townsfolk, and to fight off plenty of slimes, golems, and dragons. There is a free-building mode as well, where you can kick back and craft to your heart’s content without worrying about invading monsters. Square Enix is also offering Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below at a 33% discount on Steam and the PSN Store.
