I have a pretty good feeling about E3 this year. We know there are going to be tons of exciting announcements on the hardware front, and I expect we’re going to hear about a lot of long-awaited reboots as well. It’s just a hunch, but it’s a pretty strong one. One of the games I expect to see announced is a new Resident Evil . We’ve heard whispers that Capcom is working on something really exciting, and a remastered version of Resident Evil 5 has just been confirmed.
Resident Evil 5 is coming to PS4 and Xbox One on June 28. The game first came out in 2009 and received fantastic reviews. The remastered version will run at 1080p with improved frame rates. It will also come with all DLC and the formerly PC-exclusive “No Mercy” mode. A new mode, called “The Mercenaries Unlimited,” will also be included. If you never got a chance to play RE5 for yourself, this is definitely worth checking out; it’s one of the few games my sister and I actually enjoyed playing together. Who knows, this might just be the game to tide you over until the next, soon-to-be-revealed survival horror masterpiece from Capcom.
