Finally, we have some new Horizon: Zero Dawn footage! Pretty much every single trailer so far has shown the same three scenes and the same fight with the mighty Thunderjaw. Today Sony and Guerilla Games have shown off a brand new trailer that gives us a deeper understanding of the game’s heroine Aloy. Aloy was an outcast from a very early age. Labeled as a curse and banished from the tribe, she was raised in seclusion by a tribe-appointed guardian who warns her that there are certain questions too dangerous to ask.
Who was Aloy’s mother, and where did she come from? Why is the tribe so bent on keeping everyone in the dark in regard to the world around them? How did the world around them come to be inhabited – dominated, really – by these enormous, mechanical beasts? Aloy seems to hold (or seems to be) the key that unlocks a Pandora’s Box of reasons and motives, and her story is shaping up beautifully.
