Rainbow Six Siege Isn’t Giving Cheaters Second Chances

Rainbow Six Siege Isn’t Giving Cheaters Second Chances

Ubisoft is getting serious when it comes to Rainbow Six Siege offenders. There are no warnings anymore. No, “One, two, three strikes you’re out.” The game has adopted a zero tolerance policy. If someone messes up, either via cheating or ruining other players’ experiences, they’re outta here!

This comes after Ubisoft ‘s update of the Rainbow Six Siege Code of Conduct. People who cheat, either with software or client alterations, will be banned after their first offense. The same goes for people who cause “detriment to other players’ experience.” There will be no argument or second chances. Ubisoft is relying on the game’s existing FairFight technology, as well as investigating player reports and looking into additional client-side anti-cheat measures. There’s nowhere to hide!

Which is the way it should be. Cheating in an online game is wrong. Using an exploit a few times isn’t so bad, because it’s a bug and may even be initially unintentional. Going out of your way to use forbidden programs or ruin other people’s day isn’t. Good on Ubisoft for taking a stand.
