Mighty No. 9 Delayed for Xbox 360

Mighty No. 9 Delayed for Xbox 360

Mighty No. 9 just can’t catch a freaking break. The dang game went through development hell. It was delayed three times, and is now receiving average-to-poor reviews from players and critics. Apparently the levels are uninspired and the visuals are dated. I hear the Wii U version is be avoided at all costs – it freezes the system frequently, and load times are consistently 30 seconds or longer. 3DS and Vita versions are still in the works, and now Xbox 360 backers are being asked to endure yet another delay.

In a blog post Comcept explains that a bug was found during the final testing of the Xbox 360 version of Mighty No. 9 , and so it’s being delayed “for several days” to work out the kinks. The post does say that “our team has already re-submitted the build to Deep Silver (and to Microsoft), and we expect it to go gold within a few days if all goes according to plan.” It sounds like the wait will be minimal, but damn. We will look back, for years to come, at the funding, development, and publishing of Mighty No. 9 as an example of what not to do. The whole project has been a disappointing train wreck for all involved, and my sincere condolences go out to those who backed this game at a high level.
