One of the biggest indie games ever is on sale for the very low price of “free.” Playdead is giving away Limbo on Steam . All you have to do is head to the product page, choose to play the game, and it’ll be added to your account forever. Best of all, it’s playable on Windows, Macs, and Linux.
By now you’ve probably gone to go grab the game, but in case you haven’t, here’s why Limbo isn’t going to cost anyone anything until June 23. Playdead has a new game, Inside , coming out on June 29. To get people hyped up, it’s giving this one away.
In case you missed it somehow, Limbo is about a little boy who’s going through a shadowy world, hoping to reach a little girl at the end. It’s very mysterious and there are plenty of interpretations trying to figure out what’s going on. The general consensus is that the little boy may be traveling through purgatory.
