Sonic the Hedgehog’s Game Announcement Announced

Sonic the Hedgehog’s Game Announcement Announced

More Sonic the Hedgehog is on the way, and I’m not talking about Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice . During last week’s 25th anniversary event for our favorite hedgehog in Tokyo, the new game was announced. Well, not exactly announced. Rather, Sonic Team’s Takashi Iizuka announced its working on a new game that’ll be announced next month.

See, there’s going to be an anniversary party for Sonic the Hedgehog in the United States. It’ll be held on July 22 in San Diego. That’s when this game will be officially announced. Said event will be held at the House of Blues at 6pm PT/8pm CT/9pm ET and, of course, be livestreamed for everyone who can’t be there. We’ll all get to learn about Sonic’s next adventure together.

How do you feel about the prospect of a new Sonic the Hedgehog game? I’m worried, to be honest. Sonic Generations was the last one I really enjoyed, and the Sonic Boom series haven’t done much to improve the series’ reputation. Let’s wait and see how it looks, hope for the best, but brace for the worst.
