Say Goodbye to Xbox Fitness

Say Goodbye to Xbox Fitness

After less than three years of service, an Xbox One app is shutting down. Microsoft is closing Xbox Fitness . Doesn’t ring a bell? Obviously, you don’t have a Kinect. It’s a program that allowed people to pay for workouts with trainers like Jillian Michaels, Shaun T, Tracy Anderson, and Tony Horton. Xbox Live Gold members all received over 30 free workouts, while everyone else had to pay for specific sessions. Not that it matters now, because Xbox Fitness is gone.

People can no longer buy Xbox Fitness workouts, and the over 30 free workouts for Xbox Live Gold members will disappear on December 15. People won’t be able to download or redownload the game or workouts they’ve bought starting July 1, 2017. Which means if you’ve got it now, enjoy it until June 30, 2017. If you don’t already have it, then don’t bother unless you have an Xbox Live Gold subscription.

If you’re in need of some Xbox One game that’ll get you up off the couch, I guess it’s time to turn to Dance Central Spotlight or Just Dance 2017 later this year. But really, Dance Central Spotlight would be the smarter of the two, since it’s cheaper.
