Did you hear the Batman: A Telltale Series news? Supposedly, every episode is going to be released in 2016, with the first episode appearing in either July or August. The initial, official stance was that all five episodes would be out by the end of December, coming straight from Job Stauffer, Telltale’s Head of Creative Communications. Except, that wasn’t entirely accurate.
The real, 100% official stance on Batman: A Telltale Games Series has shifted. Stauffer took to Twitter with an update, saying, “This is a minor misquote. Certainly ‘aiming to’ have all 5 by 12/31.” He then reminded followers that Telltale Games develops its episodic games as they go along, which could result in unexpected delays. If all goes well, we’ll get every episode by the end of this year.
Which is absolutely fine and understandable. Telltale Games is a reliable developer, and we’ve seen them deliver firsthand. As long as they come out in a timely fashion, it’ll be fine if it takes until 2017 to finish Batman’s latest adventure.
