Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE is a fantastic game, hands down. It’s a JRPG that shouldn’t be missed, especially if you’re a fan of Atlus games. To some, the partnership between Atlus and Nintendo seemed odd. Nintendo likes to maintain a squeaky-clean image, after all, and Atlus has been known to develop and publish games containing some risque content. Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE is no different, and though the game is generally lighthearted in nature, there were some costumes, cutscenes, and dungeons that were altered for the Western version. If you’re a purest determined to play the game in its original form (or a pervy Tsubasa fanboy who wants to see those chest-biscuits defying gravity in a skimpy bathing suit), then we’ve got the patch for you (via NintendoLife ).
To be perfectly clear, this is a fan-made Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE patch. This isn’t an official release from Atlus or Nintendo, so if it screws up your save file, then you’re out of luck. With that in mind, this is everything the patch (simply referred to as Reincarnation ver. 0.9.2) will do:
- Reverted costumes back to Bikinis, also changing the menu icons back and their original names and descriptions.
- Completely redid Chapter 2 and a few other small files to return references to Gravure Modelling, this also uses the original voice files.
- Fixed any map changes relating to pictures in dungeons that were changed.
- Swapped the English files out for Japanese versions for retranslated files.
- Healing points no longer come in envelopes.
- Changed Profiles to reflect the character’s real ages and change back references to Gravure Modeling.
- Reverted any censored prerendered Cutscene files.
