Xbox Live’s Free Games With Gold lineup for July is looking really solid. This biggest surprise of the bunch is definitely The Banner Saga 2 . This is a narrative-driven tactical RPG, and the sequel to Stoic’s critically acclaimed The Banner Saga . The game came out mid-April on PC, and was originally planned to release on Xbox One and PS4 July 26. Stoic has surprised everyone by bumping the release date for PS4 to July 5, and offering the game for free all month long for Xbox Live Gold subscribers. Check it out.
That’s not all. Tumblestone will also be available starting July 16, for all of you puzzle fans. As usual, Xbox 360 games are also on offer, playable on Xbox One via backward compatibility. From July 1-15, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 will be free to download. This is widely hailed as the the best Rainbow Six game ever made, so it’s worth checking out. Tron: Evolution will become available July 16 until the end of the month.
