Fallout 4 Mods on PS4 Delayed Indefinitely

Fallout 4 Mods on PS4 Delayed Indefinitely

It has been a season of unfortunate delays, I’m sad to say. Bethesda announced yesterday that Fallout 4 players on PS4 are going to have to wait a bit longer for mods. The tweet simply read: “We regret to say that the PS4 mods beta for Fallout 4 has been delayed. We will update everyone when we can.” Similar to the Warner Bros. announcement of the delay of Return to Arkham , we weren’t given any specific information as to what went wrong or when we can expect mods to arrive. PS4 players are understandably upset, especially since Xbox One players have had mods since May.

It wasn’t long ago that Bethesda acknowledged that the PS4 mods were having some serious issues. A lot of spooky stuff was going on: sound files weren’t working at all, and there was an imposed mod storage limit of 900 MB compared to the Xbox One’s limit of 2GB. Bethesda also hinted that the mods may lead to memory and performance issues on PS4. I assume that these issues were never resolved, and are to blame for the delay. As soon as we hear any additional details from Bethesda, we’ll be sure to let you know.
