Get Rewarded for Recruiting Friends in Hearthstone

Mobile and freemium games love to do all they can to get you to bug your friends so they’ll play too. That increases the company’s pool of people who might actually pay money for the thing. Hearthstone is getting in on it now with a Recruit a Friend program. It wants to reward you for bugging your friends to get back in the game.

Here’s how it works. You get a unique Hearthstone recruitment link you can send to friends who barely play, haven’t played in a while, or have never even given it a try. They’ll get a free pack of cards for logging in and going through the introductory missions. If they keep playing and reach level 20, you get bonus items.

The first time one of your recruits hits level 20, you’ll get Morg the Oracle. He’s a Shaman hero who’s just been added to the game. If you can get four more people to reach level 20, then you’ll get a classic card pack for each one who reaches the hallmark. After that, you get nothing, so maybe only bother five friends?

Morgl has an introductory video showing him off. He looks kind of adorable! I’d totally spam friends to get one of him.
