Overwatch: Ana Now Available on Consoles, Patch Is Live

A new update has gone live for the console versions of Overwatch . Players can finally play as the brand new support sniper, Ana. You can learn everything you need to know about Ana, including some tips on how to use her most effectively, with our guide ( click here ). She’s basically an all-around badass. Her scoped biotic rifle heals allies and saps health from enemies, and she has some incredibly useful specials. Her Biotic Grenade dishes out splash damage, and will either prohibit or enhance healing depending on who the grenade hits. Her Sleep Dart can stun enemies for up to six seconds, and her Nano Boost ultimate increases one ally’s movement speed, defense, and offense for a short time.

The update also ushers in some welcome changes to competitive play. Here’s a quick summary of the patch notes:

  • If a match goes into overtime for more than 20 seconds, the fuse will now start to burn down at an increased rate.

  • Players now respawn more slowly during overtime.

  • Competitive matches can now only feature one of each hero per team.

  • Renamed five sprays to avoid duplicate titles.

Nothing too drastic, but the fact that teams can no longer stack multiples of the same hero is a very welcome change; no more going up against full teams of Torbjorns and Bastions. The update is available right now, so get that sucker downloaded and have an action-packed weekend!
