Umbrella Corps Multiplayer Demo Live on PS4

Umbrella Corps Multiplayer Demo Live on PS4

I didn’t like Umbrella Corps at all. You can read my review here , but honestly all you need is the first couple of sentences: “Capcom stealthily released Umbrella Corps with little fanfare, and I daresay that was the right move: this isn’t a game that I’d want to promote as representative of either Capcom or the Resident Evil franchise. It feels like a half-baked grad school project from a budding developer who got really good working with Unity.” I stand by those statements. The game really did suck, but if you’re a huge Reisdent Evil fan, maybe you just want to play it and decide for yourself whether or not it’s worth your money.

Now you have that chance. Capcom, for some reason, has decided to release an Umbrella Corps demo on the PlayStation store. This is a limited-time demo, and will go offline Sunday in the wee hours of the morning. Players will be able to try out online multiplayer in both “multi-mission” and “one-life” modes, across a sampling of maps. Players who download the demo will be in matchmaking with owners of the full game as well, which is probably a good thing since the player-base is dwindling. The game takes up less than 4 gigs on your hard drive, so I guess you have nothing to lose. Just keep your expectations low.
