Evolution Studios may have been closed down, but Sony is still refining and improving DriveClub. DriveClub is still one of the most popular racing games on PS4, competing with Project CARS as the ultimate driving experience on consoles. In the future, DriveClub will have to contend with Gran Turismo Sport , and it sounds like both games may be headed to PlayStation VR. PSVR support has been long-rumored for DriveClub , but the closure of Evolution Studios led many fans to believe that VR implementation was a pipe dream. Today, that dream becomes a reality.
A blog post from the Japanese PlayStation Blog confirmed today that DriveClub will indeed be coming to PlayStation VR . Paul Rustchynsky, formerly of Evolution, confirmed its launch via Twitter, confirming that DriveClub VR would feature brand new tracks in the process. “The new tracks are awesome,” he says, “some of my favourites in the game.” DriveClub VR will be a full-priced release, and will accompany PS VR as a launch title on October 13.
