Evolve Lets Players Try New Hunters

Evolve Lets Players Try New Hunters

Evolve is a free-to-play game now. That means if you want extra characters or monsters, you’re going to have to pay for them. But, how do you know if you’ll like these characters? Do you really want to drop cash on a person or monster you might not use? You shouldn’t have to do that, and Turtle Rock Studios isn’t going to force you to. Instead, it will let you try before you buy in Evolve.

When in Evolve’ s Practice mode, you can test out every character and monster. This includes new ones, like the medic Quantum Caira, added specifically for the free-to-play version of the game. You’re able to test their abilities, go through some matches that don’t count, and see if you could find yourself actually using them on a daily basis.

Speaking of Quantum Caira, she actually has a new trailer devoted to her, which you can see here.

Like that? Well, you can test it out right now, thanks to that new try before you buy Evolve policy. See? It’s already working for you.

This feels like such a smart move for Evolve . Going free-to-play already made a lot of sense, given the nature of the game and all of the DLC it offered even when it was sold in a more traditional fashion. Letting us test things out before spending money on them improves the experience even more.
