Quantum Break Hits Steam, Retail on September 14

Quantum Break Hits Steam, Retail on September 14

After a brief period of timed exclusivity between Xbox One and the Windows 10 store, Quantum Break is finally coming to Steam. The Steam version is due on September 14, and its listing is live right now. Remedy confirmed that Quantum Break will run on Windows 7 PCs, but the system requirements are still pretty demanding. The good news is the price has been reduced to $40. While the Xbox One version of the game is still $60, you can currently purchase the Windows 10 store version at the new, lower price.

Additionally, Nordic Games has been brought on to bring the PC version of Quantum Break to retailers in physical form, also on September 14. The physical edition will be called Quantum Break: Timeless Collector’s Edition , and for $40 you get a ton of stuff including:

  • Premium Packaging
  • 5 Game Discs (onetime Steam key validation required)
  • Making of Blu-ray
  • Making of Book
  • A Soundtrack CD
  • 2 A3 Poster (one double-sided print)
  • Quickstart Guide

That is… quite a deal. At first I thought that $40 for the Timeless Collector’s Edition was a typo, but I confirmed the price between the official press release and multiple outlets. If you’ve been waiting for an excuse to give Quantum Break a go, a cheap collector’s edition with a ton of stuff seems like the way to go.
