Game of the year editions are the best deals in gaming. For the price of the game at launch, you can end up getting absolutely everything to do with it, if you’re willing to wait about a year. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’ s Game of the Year Edition has just been announced, and it’s as good as you’d expect. Better, perhaps, because it’s cheaper than the usual GOTY installment.
On August 30, The Witcher 3 GOTY Edition will show up in stores and online for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. As you can expect, you get the game, the Blood and Wine and Hearts of Stone expansions, and every piece of DLC that was released for the game during its run. The best part is, it’s actually cheaper than it was at launch. The Witcher 3 was originally a $59.99 game. The GOTY edition will be $49.99. Not bad, considering the season pass was $24.99 on its own.
If you haven’t played The Witcher 3 yet, this is the absolute time to do so. Wait until it comes out again this month in GOTY form and grab it. You won’t regret it. This is one of the best RPGs of our time. The only possible excuse to wait after this edition is released is if you’re considering a Black Friday buy, when it might end up even cheaper.
