Deus Ex: Mankind Divided’s Season Pass Seems Skimpy

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided’s Season Pass Seems Skimpy

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has a season pass! Surprise! Except it isn’t a surprise, because almost all games have season passes now. No, with this one, the unexpected part comes from what it actually contains. A European store, Game, has leaked its contents, and this is one of the most underwhelming $30 ones out there.

The description for the Deus Ex: Mankind Divided season pass is pretty heavy on microtransaction extras for Breach, an arcade hacking tie-in game that’s included in the original package. You get five Booster Packs and 20 Chipsets for it. It also comes with Assault and Tactical packs with weapons and items for Adam Jensen in the main game, four Praxis Kits to unlock augmentation features, and 5,000 in-game credits. There are only two story missions, A Criminal Past and System Rift.

All this is rather disheartening. You expect more story content and missions from season passes. Things that add hours of gameplay to an existing experience. Instead, it sounds like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is only throwing some extra equipment and items at you and skimping on the missions. Maybe we’ll be surprised, but it doesn’t sound like the best deal.
