Earthlock: Festival of Magic is a fascinating little RPG from Snowcastle, an indie studio based out of Oslo, Norway. It looks to be almost everything we wanted out of I am Setsuna . Turn-based battles, anthropomorphic animal party-members, enchanting visuals, and a rich variety of destinations to explore. This might have come out of nowhere for some of you, but for others, it’s a game they’ve been waiting a very long time to play.
Earthlock: Festival of Magic is set to launch on Xbox One and Steam on September 1. It was revealed today, however, that Xbox One players will be able to play the game for free. That’s right! Earthlock: Festival of Magic is your first official Xbox Live Game with Gold for September. We’ll get more news about your remaining free games later this week, but in the meantime you can get hyped for an imaginative, old-school RPG. Check out the trailer below:
If you happen to have backed this game on Kickstarter and planned to get an Xbox One copy, you can still request a copy for a different system instead (or just give your extra Xbox One code away). The game’s survey will be coming out soon, so you can make your final platform decision then.
