The Xbox One backwards compatibility list keeps on growing, though this latest addition may make you want to change that to backwards “combatibility.” We’re getting to go back to World War II ahead of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’ s futuristic fight, thanks to Call of Duty 2 . The Xbox 360 version is now playable on the Xbox One.
For those who may not recall, Call of Duty 2 originally appeared on the Xbox 360 in 2005 as a launch game. It was the only console the title appeared on. People followed soldiers in the British, US, and Red armies through the game, going through twenty-seven missions in the campaign. It was the first title with a regenerating health system and started the tradition of the multiplayer mode offering DLC maps that were remakes of previous titles’.
It’s a good fit. Think about it. People are worried about Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’ s direction. Going back to replay Call of Duty 2 could let them relive better memories. All aboard that nostalgia train!
