September 8 Is a Big Day for Halo 5

Halo 5 fans need to get out their calendars and put a mark on September 8. It’s going to be a big day. Not only is that going to mark the launch of Halo 5: Forge for Windows 10 owners, but it will also be the day Anvil’s Legacy will come to Halo 5 on the Xbox One. It’s a content overload!

Halo 5: Forge might be the more exciting of the two. That’s the tool that will allow people to start making maps for the game with Forge on a PC. You can see things in 4k, use a mouse and keyboard for more detailed creations, sort through a new content browser, edit existing levels, and host and play up to 16 player matches. Basically, it’s going to be a means of making higher quality levels, thanks to a more precise control scheme.

The Halo 5 Anvil’s Legacy free update will do three things for Xbox One players. First, there’ll be that content browser that will let you better sort through the Forge maps made by people on consoles or computers. A Mercy Arena map and Temple Warzone Assault map will be available. Also, Sound Dampener attachments, skins, and three weapons will be added as REQ items.

All in all, September 8 is going to be a great day. Life in Halo 5 is going to absolutely improve. Not bad for a game that’s coming up on its first birthday.
