Battlefield 1 Beta Doesn’t Need PlayStation Plus

Battlefield 1 Beta Doesn’t Need PlayStation Plus

Ready for the Battlefield 1 beta? It’s very nearly here. Emails with the codes are being sent out today, people who signed up before August 21 will be able to start playing immediately, and everyone else can start on August 31. But, there’s even better news. People who want to try Battlefield 1 on the PlayStation 4 don’t need PlayStation Plus.

Typically, you need PlayStation Plus to play any PlayStation 4 games online. However, the official Twitter for Battlefield 1 says that isn’t a requirement for its open beta. Anyone who’s received a code can head into the up to 64 player Conquest and Rush mode.

This is a great way to not only promote Battlefield 1 , but sell folks on PlayStation Plus. Something Sony needs, now that it’s raised the subscription price. Go ahead and enjoy the beta this weekend!
