Halo’ s Warthog is an iconic car. It’s immediately recognizable, perhaps even if you’ve never played a Halo game. This has led it to appear in other games, like Rocket League , and is why it’s showing up in the next major Xbox One game. When you head into the outback in Forza Horizon 3 , you might be doing so in the Warthog.
Not everyone is going to get a Warthog. There’s a prerequisite. This is going to be a free Forza Horizon 3 download, but you need to own a Halo game on your Xbox One to get it. Both Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Halo 5 count. If you’ve played either of those games, you’ll get the Xbox Live message with a code the week of September 5, ahead of the game’s September 27 launch.
This looks like a really cool Forza Horizon 3 car. There’s even a trailer that compares it to the Halo 5 version of the Warthog. Watch it and appreciate all those subtle details. It’s quite the homage!
