Minecraft’s Tumble PvP Sends Players into Lava

Minecraft’s Tumble PvP Sends Players into Lava

While the console, mobile, and PC versions of Minecraft are mostly the same, each version sometimes has things that set it apart. The console versions, for instance, have a PvP multiplayer mode. The first was called Battle and arrived in a free June update. It sent up to eight players against each other in a fight for resources. Now, the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, and Xbox One versions of the game have Tumble too.

Minecraft’ s Tumble is rather easy to understand. Up to eight players online, or four locally, are all in an arena. You’re armed with either a shovel or snowballs, depending on the mode. Your goal is to attempt to knock the other players into a pool of lava below the platforms you’re standing on. There can also be special hazards and blocks too, like slime blocks or TNT, so beware!

Here’s a trailer, to help you better visualize Tumble in Minecraft .

Mojang is also selling a Battle map pack, for people who like the first PvP mode. For $2.99, you get Castle, Invasion, and Shipyard maps. But with Tumble being so new and shiny, it might be wiser to savor that first, before going back to the old mode.
