Mafia III’s Free and Paid DLC Detailed

Mafia III’s Free and Paid DLC Detailed

Like all major releases, Mafia III will have DLC. Unlike all major releases, Mafia III’ s DLC seems pretty equally split between free and paid content. If you want to be general about it, it seems like the free options will offer things like outfits, equipment, and races, while the paid DLC will take Lincoln through additional story missions. It seems like a rather reasonable divide!

Let’s start with the freebies. Lincoln will get free outfits after Mafia III launches. A Judge, Jury, and Executioner golden weapons pack will be available to everyone a month after the game’s debut. You can change how cars look for free, with new paint jobs, plates, and wheels. There’ll also be extra races with special rewards.

The paid Mafia III DLC will also have customization options, cars, equipment, and outfits with each pack, but also tell new tales about Lincoln. Faster, Baby has Lincoln team up with an old girlfriend, Roxy Laveau, to stop a sheriff bothering Civil Rights activists. Sign of the Times has Father James sending Lincoln after a cult. Finally, Lincoln works with the feds in Stones Unturned to resolve a storyline that began in Vietnam.

All of this means there’s a Mafia III season pass. It’s $29.99 for the pass. Which means you save $10, as each expansion purchased separately would add up to $39.97. Maybe see how you like Mafia III , wait for the first DLC story to appear and get reviewed, then decide if you should opt in?
