2K Games have been doing a pretty stellar job with story modes in the NBA 2K series, so I guess EA decided it would take a crack at it with FIFA 17 . EA is really excited about this new RPG-lite campaign, as you already know if you happened to watch EA’s Play 2016 presentation. The new story mode is called Journey , and stars a young up-and-coming football (read: soccer) star Alex Hunter. Today you can try it for yourself as part of the new FIFA 17 demo available on Origin.
The demo gives you a taste of the day in the life of Alex Hunter. You’ll navigate some dialogue wheels as you speak to your teammates, your manager, and the press. Of course, you’ll also play a little football. You’ll get to control Hunter as he plays through the closing hour of a decisive match between Manchester United and Chelsea. The demo also includes 10 other teams to try out in friendly matches. Fifa 17 comes out across all platforms (including last-gen consoles) on September 27.
