Death Stranding Coming 2018, Casting Underway

Death Stranding Coming 2018, Casting Underway

Death Stranding is still a complete mystery to us. We don’t really have anything to go off of except a magical oil baby, some floating sea wizards, and the bare ass of one Norman Reedus. For some of you, that’s all you need. The rest of us have been dying to know more about this mysterious game, and Hideo Kojima did give us a little more information about at this year’s Tokyo Game Show.

According to Kojima, Death Stranding will be an open-world action game with unique multiplayer features. He’s projecting a release date some time in 2018, and the official Kojima Productions Twitter account mentioned that the game would be out “before the new Akira” in 2019. Therefore it’s safe to say a 2018-19 release is the plan, but we’ve learned this year that release dates are always subject (and perhaps guaranteed) to change. The Kojima Productions account also tweeted that “casting is still under way [ sic ]” and that there could be a heroine in the game, so keep your eyes peeled for a potential reveal in the near future.
