GTA V – Redux is a huge, sweeping, ambitious mod project by Josh Romito. While hailed as the best graphics mod the GTA V community has seen to-date, there’s actually much more to this mod than the visual overhaul. That is what you’ll likely notice right off the bat, though. Almost every environmental asset in the game has been re-textured to look more realistic, and 4K textures have been included as well. Cars now take more realistic damage, AI behavior and ragdoll physics have been improved, and real-world advertisements can now be found on billboards and signs throughout the city.
Redux also overhauls the wanted system to make the game more challenging. Police and military units will respond faster and more aggressively than before, and police AI has been improved. You’ll find the boys in blue are now much better prepared to take you out when you act out of line, sporting new weapons and new tactics.
