Old Destiny Exploit Getting Players Ready for Rise of Iron Raid

Old Destiny Exploit Getting Players Ready for Rise of Iron Raid

Destiny’s Rise of Iron expansion is here and, by now, most of you have likely finished all of the new campaign content. For serious players, you loot-hungry fools, the real appeal is in the latest raid, Wrath of the Machine. By the time you read this, WotM has likely gone live, and you’ll need to be at a light level or 360 or higher before you’re raid ready. That could be an awful grind. Luckily an old exploit has been revived, and the consensus is that that it is hands-down the fastest way to propel yourself to 360 light.

We’re going to be hunting Omnigul. Load up the House of Wolves strike “The Will of Crota” and set the light difficulty to 320. Ideally you’ll want two hunters in your Fireteam, so call on a few of your friends. Omnigul will appear for a brief time before escaping to a separate phase of the fight, but it’s actually possible to take her down in the earlier encounter. Just have a hunter use their Shadowshot super to tether Omnigul while everyone else unloads with heavy weapons – you want to output as much damage as possible. Don’t forget to stock up on heavy ammo synthesis packs.

You’ll likely need two hunters because one Shadowshot isn’t likely to keep Omnigul stunned long enough for you to take her down. Just as one tether expires, have your second hunter ready to fire another one. Finish Omnigul off and reap your rewards. As soon as you equip your higher light equipment, have the whole team wipe. You’ll respawn right before the encounter. Run it as many times as you need, and don’t forget to equip all of your new gear as your acquire it. That way the drops will continue to improve. Find a good group, run this loop, and you’ll be raid ready in no time!
