Infinity Ward shared a rather exciting announcement with us last night via Twitter : “We’ve gone gold! Excited for our upcoming MP Beta and all the optimizing we can do for launch with your gameplay data.” This is really welcome news for Call of Duty fans. Infinite Warfare is due out November 4, so having gone gold this early indicates that development went smoothly and ensures that the team will have plenty of time to make any necessary tweaks and QOL improvements for day-one players.
And how about that multiplayer beta? If you pre-order the game on Xbox One or PS4, you’ll be eligible for the closed beta. PS4 owners get in first, with an exclusive beta period beginning October 14 and concluding October 17. Then everybody on console (PS4 and Xbox One) gets to play the main beta on October 21-24. PC players, unfortunately, will not get to take part in the beta because a select few would no doubt make it their first priority to data-mine for spoilers.
