Have you made plans this weekend? I think I’ve found something you can enjoy, and it’s even free! Way back in the day, EA and Dice released Battlefield 2142, a futuristic, sci-fi Battlefield game. The original game disappeared and stopped working when Gamespy shut down in 2014, but now fans have put together Battlefield 2142 Revive , letting people play it again.
Because of the Gamespy shutdown, people couldn’t play Battlefield 2142 online anymore at all. With Battlefield 2142 , you can download a new variation of the game for free and participate in its 16 or 64-player battles. The Conquest and Titan modes are available, there are ranked, unranked, and mod servers, and leaderboards let you show off. It’s pretty great.
So far, EA hasn’t said or done anything about Battlefield 2142 Revive. It’s primarily a multiplayer game with no other way to get it. Maybe we’ll be lucky and this fan project won’t be squashed!
