OK, so when events like E3 come up, companies distribute asset packets filled with screenshots and videos to use with articles for games that will be discussed at the event. At E3 2016, the Microsoft press packet included some screenshots from what appeared to be a remaster of Bulletstorm . Nothing was announced, People Can Fly had no comments, and it slipped off the radar. Now, a Brazil Advisory Rating Board has suddenly rated something called Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition .
The Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition is going to be a PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC game, if the listing is to be believed. It isn’t recommended for children under 18, meaning it’d have a Mature rating like the original Bulletstorm . It also says Gearbox will be publishing it in 2017.
Sounds like a pretty credible and plausible leak to me. Everyone involved probably looked at the 2016 release schedule, which is filled with games like Titanfall 2, Battlefield 1, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare , and Gears of War 4 , decided it’d be better to delay it, and figured the January or February lull would be a good time for it.
