Here’s the thing about Call of Duty games. They have great multiplayer modes. They’re so much fun. But, after a while, the glitter fades. People move on to the latest installment, leaving past entries’ servers barren or, worse, closed. Fortunately, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered won’t have that issue. Amos Hodge, lead designer at Raven Software, says there’ll be bots.
This is only in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered private matches, of course. People who want to play alone or with a handful of friends can call in AI-controlled characters. Hodge confirmed this on Twitter, when people expressed concern. Which is great news, because it gives us more options when creating a match and extends the lifespan of the game.
Hodge also confirmed another Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered feature. You can turn off the medal notification icon that pops up in the HUD. It’s a small feature, but considering how often you might earn medals, it may be appreciated.
