Ready to see Nintendo’s next console, the Switch? We got a good look at the system today. A worldwide reveal happened at 7am PT/9am CT/10am ET. This three minute preview gave us our first look at the portable/home console hybrid. Let’s go ahead and see the new hotness!
Let’s go over what we learned. The Nintendo Switch is a system that looks like a standard console at home. But when you decide you want to go out, you pull the sides of the controller off the controller and attach them to the tablet screen that’s stored in a dock when you’re at home. It uses cartridges. Two players or more can play on a single, mobile version of the console. Also, we saw footage of it running games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild , Splatoon, and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
I’m absolutely psyched about the Switch. I think this could be a great system, if properly executed. I like the idea of having something I can play both when I have access to a TV and when I don’t. What do you think?
