Battlefield 1’s Private Servers Are Expensive

Battlefield 1’s Private Servers Are Expensive

Battlefield 1 is going to have a special feature on both consoles and computers. If you want a private server, you can rent one. Starting on November 1, people can pay to rent a server. This means you’ll have control over it and, sometime after the service launches, even have kick/ban features on a server you’re controlling. Unfortunately, the rental prices are rather high.

The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One rental servers will be the most “affordable.” (Please, tell me you actually made airquotes when you saw I put in those quotes.) One day is $1.99, a week is $7.99, 30 days is $26.99, 90 days is $64.99, and 180 days is $99.99. Should you be playing Battlefield 1 on a PC, the cost is more substantial. It’s $2.99 a day, $11.99 for a week, $42.99 for a month, $99.99 for 90 days, and $149.99 for 180 days. It’s about 1.5x the cost.

Though, I suppose there is a way to make such fees bearable. If you’re definitely going to be playing Battlefield 1 with a set crew, you can split fees among yourselves. If you have 10 people chipping in, that would help quite a bit. Still, the Rental Server Program definitely isn’t going to be for everybody at these prices.
