Rockstar is cracking down on cheaters. It seems that many of you have been taking advantage of various glitches, exploits, cheats, and mods in order to rake in the cash in GTA Online . That cash could very well disappear very soon, if it hasn’t already. Users all over are reporting that their funny money has gone missing, and have sent in caps of a special message from Rockstar which reads:
“[User], Your GTA Online Cash Balance Has Been Adjusted – We have determined that your account illegitimately gained in-game money via mods, cheats, or other actions. We’ve adjusted your account and updated your balance. No additional action is pending against your account. Note that accounts that illegitimately gain money in the future will be subject to action including the Cheater Pool, account reset or suspension of Online access.”
Obviously this is going to ruin a lot of peoples’ day, but fair’s fair. You have to remember that this is GTA Online , which means that anyone who cheated in order to get tons of cash will in fact have a leg up on other players who can’t afford to purchase all the ammo, weapons, vehicles, or whatever else they might need. Rockstar affirms that it’s taking action in order to “…keep the gameplay environment fair.”
Oh well. As they say: easy come, easy go.
