Nintendo Switch Presentation’s Coming January 12

Nintendo Switch Presentation’s Coming January 12

Nintendo said it wasn’t going to reveal much more of the Switch’s secrets in 2016, and it looks like it’s sticking to it! The company has announced its official Switch presentation date. On January 12, 2017, a livestream will be held to tell us everything we need to know.

Want to know when the Switch will launch? This presentation will tell you. Curious about the cost? Watch the livestream. Wondering what games are in development and will probably show up at launch? Better be online to hear the good news on January 12.

Here’s something also rather awesome. Nintendo says it’s also planning Switch sampling events. There will be hands-on opportunities in the US and Europe for people both in and out of the industry, so professionals and fans can all see what the new system is like.

While we wait for all that, the Switch rumors and leaks continue apace. After all, Nintendo held back plenty of information about its new device. Today, Eurogamer claims to have reliable information that the Switch will feature a 6.2″ 720p capacitive multi-touch screen. That’s basically like the smartphone screens we’re all used to, and means we could ditch the 3DS / Wii U stylus. On the other hand, it makes the Touch a bit less of a “just toss it willy-nilly in your bag” kind of portable.
