Can you believe the Gears of War series is already ten years old? I can’t. This is a big deal, and it’s going to be celebrated in Gears of War 4 . Fortunately, you won’t have to pay for these special events and bonuses. No, it’ll all starting with an immediately available, free update that increases Versus Multiplayer Credit earn rates, Bounty XP and Credit earn rates, and tweaks to Versus Booster, Horde Booster, and Operation Packs that mean guaranteed customization items and bounties.
Speaking of Gear Packs, a Tenth Anniversary Gear Pack will be available in Gears of War 4. These can only be purchased via playing the game and spending 200 Credits on one. A Tenth Anniversary Gear Pack can include the Gary Carmine Character, Anthony Carmine Longshot weaopn, Benjamin Carmine Gnasher, Claton Carmine Lancer, 10 Years of Gear Lancer, 10 Years of Gears Hammerburst, 10 Years of Gears Retro Lancer, 10 Years of Gears Markza Mk. 1, 10 Years of Gears Enforcer, Gary Carmine Emblem, 10 Years of Gears Emblem, and five Gears of War game-themed Bounties. They’re available starting today.
There will also be some events. For one, The Coalition Army is going to launch. A Game with Developers event will give people a chance to play Gears of War 4 with The Coalition. A One Shot, One Kill playlist where you only use Longshot will be available, as will a Gnashers-Only King of the Hill playlist.
It really sounds like there’ll be a lot of reasons to play Gears of War 4 this week. I know you may be busy with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Titanfall 2 , or Battlefield 1 , but maybe try to make room for this too?
