The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild May Be Delayed

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild May Be Delayed

A rumor from Emily Rogers over at ArcadeGirl64 might make the Switch launch a little less appealing, if it’s true. You know The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild ? That big The Legend of Zelda Wii U game? Been delayed a bunch of times? Well, it might be delayed once more. Rogers is claiming she’s heard from multiple sources that it is going to be delayed.

Rogers cites numerous sources throughout her article. She notes that in September, she heard about localization issues and talk that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was perhaps too ambitious. Then, she notes that her most recent source was claiming the translation won’t be done until December, which means it would still need a few months to test. Especially since the Switch version is supposedly running better than the Wii U one. That would make a March 2017 release impossible. Rogers says summer 2017 seems more likely.

A The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild delay would really only be bad for Wii U owners. I mean, we’ve had barely anything to play this year. It’d be a shame to have to wait another seven or eight months for the last hurrah. For Switch owners, it’d be no big deal, as there’d almost certainly be some other, major launch games to enjoy. We’ll have to wait and see what happens.
