Skyrim Special Edition Updated, Might Not Crash Now

Skyrim Special Edition Updated, Might Not Crash Now

We’ve heard numerous reports of Skyrim Special Edition running poorly on several platforms since its release. Among the most egregious problems was a bug that caused the game to crash when changing from a werewolf back to a human, compounded by other general performance issues. Bethesda has released an update, Version 1.2, across all platforms to alleviate some of these issues. The full list of fixes includes:

  • General stability and performance improvements
  • Fixed issue related to using alt-tab while playing the game (PC)
  • Fixed issue with water flow not rendering properly
  • Fixed crash related to changing from werewolf back to human form
  • Fixed crash related to reloading after changing Load Order of mods
  • General bug fixing and improvements with browsing Mods

However, this update does not appear to fix any of the issues users are experiencing on the PS4 Pro, so you should probably hold off on buying Skyrim Special Edition for PS4 if you’re on the fence. I don’t know about you, but some of us are sick of buying Bethesda’s broken games .
